  2. Well according to the test I'm just slightly right of center which doesn't surprise me that much because I do believe that the death penalty has a place as a legal punishment for the most abhorrent of crimes and that some criminals are just lost causes who don't deserve anything more than to be thrown in a cage and be left to rot for the rest of their born days while I also believe that the government does have a responsibility to provide assistance to those who are disabled or unable to work for legitimate reasons, a sound basic education (that doesn't include all of the friendship, feelings and self esteem shit) that will prepare students for adult life and that parents should be allowed to spank their children to correct bad behavior so long as it isn't done in an abusive way.

  6. good questions, heres a point id want to make :"Abstract art that doesn't represent anything shouldn't be considered art at all". personaly i never understood the beauty of abstract, i dont get it, and i never will, does it means i see it as worthless? no, on the other hand i judge a person's worth not by if they have disabilities or not, but by own achievements and their merit to their society . now what does that makes me, because personaly i see myself as very much a right winger.

  9. What bothers me about the political compass is how they rank your answers. I fall into the left leaning libertarian camp and when I cross check my position with that of my country's major parties, that would put me close to the Greens and the Leftist party, both of which are obsessed with identity politics. Not exactly sure what to make of that.

  28. after years of listening to the media, i always assumed i was a right wing racist. it would appear that after taking that test to check my morals and political views i am actually very close to the center but leaning left.

  31. The problem with the EDL, like many movements in the past, is that whatever their intention when formed, they tend to attract a certain type of person as supporters. At that point, their protests always turn to violenceand hatred, and so all relevant points are lost. That's why Robinson (who actually has a brain and opinions) left and joined the Quilliam. Therefore at this point, I can only dislike the EDL because their positions are now unintelligible.

  40. Some of the questions in this test are fucking awful, and some need a neutral middle answer. Because some you can't disagree or agree with, because there are grey zones.

  41. I'm "right-authoritarian," but my vertical axis score is only +0.37. So… just "right?" It's a useful general gauge, but I'm no fascist (though I do find fascists more tolerable than SJWs…take that as you will). I think a more interesting survey sometime in the future would use labels, e.g., "fascist," "liberal," "progressive," "right-identitarian," "libertarian," "conservative," etc

  45. I come down as just slightly left of slightly more libertarian (-0.5/-1.23)
The problem with these kinds of things is that it depends on people's interpretation of the questions (which will vary). Most people would think "an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth" as a justification for righteous revenge (they hit us, so we hit back). Actually originally its a biblical injunction to limit revenge i.e. punishment should not exceed the wrong done. The results are also dependent on the relative weighting given to the questions. So UKIP comes over as authoritarian, probably because of its stances on nationalism, sovereignty and immigration. However it also holds a lot of libertarian ideas – they're very much against political correctness and national id cards for example. Still, overall it will give a general indication.
