Republicans Are In Panic Mode As Tax Cut Talking Points Fall Flat – Politics Video

Republicans are starting to realize that the American public isn’t buying their lies about tax cut trickle down, and they’ve nearly stopped running ads touting their much-ballyhooed plan. This isn’t going to end well for Republicans in November, and their reluctance to even mention the tax cuts already shows that they are getting scared. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins discusses this.

The Republican party is in full-blown panic mode these days, as they understand that their message about tax cuts trickling down to the average American worker are falling flat, and that most Americans actually don’t believe that they’re ever going to see a raise from these Republican tax cuts.

Case in point: The Pennsylvania special election is taking place today and back in January 60% of the ads that…

  6. My entire adult life (all 20 some years of it) republicans have lied to the people and screwed anyone who wasn’t a rich white man, only they would wrap their evil policies in American flag condoms with special Freedom Lube… the one good thing about trump is he’s unmasked republicans for the lying hypocrites they’ve always been and people are finally (albeit very slowly) starting to see them for the rich white man club they are.

  7. Talking points — you think by Nov. election that people will not see and feel good about tax cuts? We all know that the Dems. want to get rid of tax breaks if they take the house! You are so condescending to public — think you can prey on them because the people are stupid.

  17. True story: Yesterday I pulled up in front of where I work and went inside. I had noticed a truck parked out front – a big, new 4X4, probably about $50K with about $5K more worth of accessories, tires, wheels etc. On its rear window there was an American flag decal and a "Don't Tread On Me" decal. (Didn't look to "tread on" to me) but anyway … the owner was inside and I was asked to complete a transaction with him. As I did the paper work, he was talking to several of us, "I don't know about you guys but I'm sure enjoying that tax cut!" I didn't respond because I don't think it is appropriate for me to get into political discussions with customers. Had I given a response, it would have been: "Well, I am not enjoying them. They amount to maybe two visits to McDonald's per month for me. Meanwhile they're gutting revenue the government needs – to keep my Social Security going, for one thing, when I am too old to work (I'm in my 60's) and will need it badly. I'd gladly give back those two McDonald's visits." Then – ironically, and unprompted by me – the guy proceeded to say he hoped Social Security would still be there in a few years when he retires. Mr. Poor Tread Upon 4X4 Dude, how do you think a government stripped of revenue while spending Carte Blanche on the military industrial complex is going to have money for YOUR Social Security? And if you are such a "Conservative" why don't you save the money you just spent on that status symbol truck and put it towards your retirement? My aging Hyundai doesn't have much American Macho swagger, but it gets me where I need to go – economically and reliably. Which is kind of conservative (small C). The "Don't Tread On Me's" have no clue who is actually about to destroy everything.

I don't know where you got your information from I still see tons of advertisements talking about bashing Conor lamb because he said that the corporate tax break were crumbs for working class citizens obviously they were taking what he said out of context but I still seeing plenty of those ads like that Non-Stop granted I didn't see a whole lot of it on TV but I seen a lot of it on YouTube but maybe I'm just the rare exception and yes I live in Pittsburgh that's why I'm kind of confused about this

  26. Hey Ring of Fire just out of curiosity would you guys ever be interested in voting for Bernie Sanders if he were to run for 20 20 given the fact that the Democratic party can often be just as corrupt as the Republican party at times and just as much voting against the best interests of the working class cuz honestly from everything I've seen with Bernie and his track record he seems like he would genuinely be a good step forward for this nation but I'm just interested in seeing what your thoughts were on it

  27. The US is, by and large, a very conservative nation by composition and that is not necessarily a bad thing. What is awful about it's behaviour as a nation is how it plays the Democrats.

In my observation, Americans are generally content with a Republican Congress and President until shit hits the fan in whatever form. At that point, it's time to pull in the Democrats fixer-uppers. And, once the shit is cleaned and the house is smelling fresh and clean again, the voters do what they do best – vote in the Republicans !

So, in my opinion, what is happening now, electorally, isn't magic. It's just a typical American voter behaviour triggered by an odious Mr Trump and a despicable GOP.

  31. They had to have known that giving tax breaks to the rich and relatively nothing to the average American would eventually bite them in the ass. Money in politics has to go. Then we'd see who actually wants to serve and who's just doing it to get rich.

  33. You can only lie about taxes until the next time people compute them namely the last two weeks of March. Then the false promises come home to roost. The tax bill was such a swindle. It may mark the end of the Republican party. There is necessarily a big tax hike coming to fund the tax bill and the infrastructure bill (or perhaps a stupendous deficit)
